The Smith is an incredible place to visit if you are looking for a place that has great cocktails, food and ambience. They always have a bit of everything on the menu if you're going with a group with different likings. I've never had a bad experience here and have gone numerous times. My favorites are the Cesar salad, mussels in a pot, the burger and vodka pasta. If you visit for brunch, each brunch item includes a free cocktail which is a great value. A must visit!

Great burger and bartender Victor was nice. I enjoyed the "All Day Spritz" non-alcoholic drink. Fries could use a touch of seasoning. No TVs, but a nice atmosphere, though there were some very rowdy groups cheering for whatever reason. I'd certainly come back to try more of the drink and food selection.

Came to The Smith to check out their Happy Hour. We got the seafood tower and a few drinks. I was surprised by the amount of food that you got for the price that it was. I felt spoiled! We showed up around 5pm and by the time we left the entire place was packed! Seems to be a popular spot for people to go to after work. It surely is a lively spot once 6pm hits and cross you fingers if you are trying to get a spot at the bar on a weeknight.

Such a cozy restaurant among so many good ones in downtown Chicago. I came on a trip and ate here with some friends. The salmon dish I got was delicious. Fresh, flakey, nicely presented. They have a nice bar, even though I didn't partake. I'll visit again.

The food was great, staff awesome and the ambience is perfect. Even with and entirely fill dining room and bar everything and everyone was on point. Even during the NRA conference we expected so we service longer wait times and more hiccups. Highly recommend coming here quality food, and a casual comfortable environment that is still trending and beautiful.

The Smith is a super cute spot for a pretty summer day because of their open indoor/outdoor concept. I can imagine it's also great for renting to big parties - there's an area downstairs that seems like a pretty cool little venue to rent out. The burger was very tasty and the fries almost taste like elevated McDonald's (lol). Special thanks to the burrata which was my fav item I tried. Cocktails were pretty sweet - Gatsby and Cosmo specifically. Overall wouldn't jump for a reservation but would go back.

The Smith was amazing! They effortlessly accommodated our party of 11 with a reservation, and dinner was absolutely delicious, pleasing everyone. The service was outstanding. Despite my severe allergies to gluten, corn, and oats, I was still able to enjoy appetizers, an entree, and dessert. The staff took special care to ensure my food was prepared safely, making me feel confident and safe. I highly recommend this spot for its food, cocktails, service, and ambiance!

Had my first visit yesterday. Went for Sunday brunch. The place looks really nice. Classic black and white tile. There's a patio and a bar and walls open up to the outside. If you order off of certain parts of the brunch menu, you get either a free juice or a free cocktail! Super deal! You could select from 4 different cocktails. It was a nice variety and they all looked delicious. The average price of the brunch was $20 and the cocktails are $14.50 so a great deal! I ordered the Potato Waffle Benny, a waffle made from hash browns with poached eggs and smoked salmon. It was meh. The hash browns were overcooked so it killed the whole dish. My free cocktail was the rose sangria. SO good! These may be free cocktails, folks, but they don't skimp on the booze as a result! Although my benny wasn't great, we ordered the skillet roasted Mac + Cheese and it was BOMB! It totally made up for my lackluster benny. Our service was great here. Overall, I really enjoyed it and would definitely come back. An excellent spot for brunch!
